What is cold email marketing?

You want more clients but don’t know where to start? You’ve heard multiple people mention “Cold Email” or “Cold Email Marketing”, but donæt fully understand? You’ve come to the right place. In this article I’ll teach you all you need to know.

Cold vs warm leads

To understand what Cold email is, we have to understand what we mean by “cold”. No, i don’t mean emailing people in freezing conditions…

You have “Cold leads” and “Warm leads”.

A Cold lead refers to a person or company who you’ve had no prior contact with. Who hasn’t shown any interest in your product or service. In other words; a perfectly random stranger, who hopefully fit your qualifications.

A Warm lead refers to a person or company who have shown some interest or engagement with your product or service, or other similar companies as yours. A warm lead is more likely to be interested in your service, and more likely to engage with you and be familiar with your offerings.

In summary, cold leads are more of a random shot (but not totally) who need more nurturing to generate interest. While warm leads are already somewhat engaged and interested.
